The Fastest Way to Receive and Send Email From All Your Free Email Accounts With AOL, Gmail, Hotmail, Linuxmail, and Yahoo - Get Premium Service Without Per Account Site Premiums For Every Free Email Account You Have

Home | Free Demo | My Mail 1.0

Dear free email account user,

If you have free email accounts with AOL, Gmail, Hotmail, Linuxmail and/or Yahoo, you might have noticed it taking longer to get your mail, more ads and more hoops to jump through just to check your mail. You can pay the sites a premium fee of typically $19.95 per annum, for each account to speed things up, and get rid of the ads. With several accounts it can add up quickly.

But what if you could use a program that speeds things up considerably, reduces visits to the site to almost zero (no more ads to look at, no more slow web sites to wait on, no more logging in, and re-logging in, one at a time, to check email for multiple accounts), and delivers premium service for all your accounts (not just one), at each of the major email servers, for a fixed, one time cost which is less than half the typical annual fee charged?

My Mail 1.0 is an innovative and compact program (~475k) that allows you to receive and send emails using all the major email sites, emulating POP3 and SMTP, without having to pay extra at the site for a similar feature. Now you can have all your webmail accounts consolidated and managed from one place on your computer, easily and quickly receiving and sending emails using AOL, Gmail, Hotmail, Linuxmail and Yahoo.

My Mail 1.0 has most of the same features as any conventional email program, but there are some differences, ones you are definitely going to like.
My Mail 1.0 is customized to work with all the major email servers noted above The primary goal of My Mail 1.0 is to make it easier to receive and send mail from these servers. Whether you have several email accounts at these sites, or just a few, with My Mail 1.0 you'll be able to, with a few clicks, get all your mail, from all your accounts, from all of the major email servers, with the messages saved right to your computer.

With My Mail 1.0 you can:
  • Receive email
  • Send email through the site
  • Send email through a proxy
  • Send and receive attachments
  • Store all emails, email addresses, and subjects
  • Search through emails
  • Customize My Mail 1.0's appearance
  • Eliminate all unwanted email
  • Create White Lists
  • Spell Check
  • Print Mail
  • Download email contacts from the site's address books
  • Send emails without the auto-generated ad inserted at the bottom of your email

  • Create groups, import and export email addresses
  • Send emails as html or regular text
  • Have all your emails backed up at the site just in case something happens to your PC
and much more!

Say Goodbye to Ads Placed In Your Emails

All of the major email servers are guilty of this. They stick an ad at the bottom of your email. You send an email out to your sweetheart that says:
hey sweet beautiful thing,

you really light up my world. can't wait to spend some time w/u t'nite

as always,

yours
Yet when your sweetheart gets the message, this is what she sees:
hey sweet beautiful thing,

you really light up my world. can't wait to spend some time w/u t'nite

as always,

yours

Nice touch! Doesn't the ad make your email even better? NO! And besides, you are not getting paid to advertise for that company, so why should you?

But when you and your recipients use My Mail 1.0 to receive the mail, My Mail 1.0 strips the ads out. If your sweetheart has My Mail 1.0, this is what she will see:
hey sweet beautiful thing,

you really light up my world. can't wait to spend some time w/u t'nite

as always,

yours
Just what you sent!

With one of the servers My Mail uses, sending the mail directly through the site, My Mail takes the ad out before it is sent by the server. Using My Mail's proxy no ads are ever attached on your send. But if you get lots of mail from AOL, HotMail and Yahoo senders, unless you are using My Mail 1.0, you are going to see those nasty little ads in every email you read.

When you use My Mail 1.0, you'll never have to see those ad inserts ever again!

Say Goodbye to Unwanted Email

With My Mail 1.0 you can create exclusive Sender white lists for any account you wish. For example, you might want to create an account to receive mail only from one, two, or three (can be as many as you want) specific email addresses. All the other email sent to that account will be disregarded, nor saved to your computer.

You can use other email accounts for any other purpose you want. My Mail 1.0 will keep track of them all. My Mail 1.0 is flexible and convenient. If you want a much better way to receive and send email from any of the major email sites, once you start using My Mail 1.0 you'll get hooked. The bad old days of gaudy, slow, hyper-commercialized email sites are now officially over with the advent of My Mail 1.0.

Receive Time Comparison Table

Estimated time to log in and download a short message using a non-premium email account through a dial up connection. High speed connections about 20-40% faster. This does not include the time to launch a browser, just the time to get to the log in page of each site.

The times below also assume username and password fields are automatically filled in (many people do not do that, so if you are the type who does not, add about 5 seconds to the times below), manually waiting for the web pages to load, and clicking the links to get to the mail, etc. If you are one of the millions of those who use the major email sites, this is what you are dealing with each day. Additionally, your time invested in checking the mail increases exponentially if you have a number of accounts. My Mail 1.0 time is, by comparison, very consistent (assuming the servers are not down, or in other ways acting up, which does happen periodically).

The time comparisons below are not actually apples and apples. With My Mail 1.0, the time shown includes message downloads to your computer, whereas with the sites, your messages stay on their server.

One more thing to note, the times are very generous in that the sites were tested with all images and flash ads disabled. If you are on dial-up and have macromedia flash installed, as well as images turned on, you can add at least 1 minute to the web site times.

A Little Technical Talk

Most of the free email sites are not set up for what is called POP3 and/or IMAP and/or HTTP (receive side) and SMTP (send side) - unless you pay $19.95 per year, and for each account you might have. That can add up, especially if you have a number of accounts, and accounts with different email servers!

POP3/IMAP/HTTP and SMTP, put simply, are like direct connections to the email servers. This means no web site visits are necessary. If you have an email program (like Outlook Express), *all you have to do is enter your username, password, the POP3/IMAP and SMTP server addresses (typically mail.mailserver.com or POP3.mailserver.com or IMAP.mailserver.com, then smtp.mailserver.com, etc). When done, because you don't have to visit a web site, once you click to check your mail, you'll note a couple of things by comparison.
(*Well, even with programs like Outlook Express, setting up an email account is still a bit of a hassle. My Mail 1.0 is much easier to set up.)
On the receiving side, the first thing you'll notice is getting emails is much faster than going to the web site, and the second thing is the emails get saved right to your computer. Since the email is saved to your computer, if you ever need to go back and check something, you don't have to revisit the site, because it is already on your computer. Needless to say, POP3/IMAP access to receive is much better than web site access.

On the SMTP side (the sending side), the main difference again is the speed in which the email is dispatched, and also that no visit to the web site is required. With your email program (like Outlook Express), you bring up your own window to compose your email, click the send button and you're done. Once again, SMTP access to send is much better than web site access.

My Mail 1.0 utilizes a technology that emulates POP3 convenience, and is much faster than going to the sites. If you are an AOL web mail user, or a Hotmail user you'll be very impressed with the speed gains.

My Mail 1.0 utilizes SMTP technology by means of a proxy. Since the major email servers are not set up for SMTP (without a fee, that is), to emulate the speed and convenience of sending an email via SMTP, My Mail 1.0 allows you to create an email account at two different web servers which you can use to send your mail SMTP style.
With My Mail 1.0 you can still send the email directly through the web site (which you never see, My Mail 1.0 does all the work for you). SMTP is just a little faster, and is just another way to send your email.
For example, let's say you are using Yahoo email. If you ever visit the Yahoo webmail site you know how slow it is - especially if you are on dial-up - not to mention all the ads, flash, etc. When you send an email with My Mail 1.0 directly through the Yahoo site, the recipient will see his mail as:

From: you@yahoo.com
To: your_recipient@wherever.com
Subject: Hello
Date: 11:00:00

In the 'From' line in the recipient's inbox they will see (in the from column) your 'from' name the way you have it set up at the web site. If your 'From' name at the web site is 'Bob Smith' then the recipient will see on their end:

From SubjectDate
Bob SmithHello

However, for a faster send (see send comparison time table below), with My Mail 1.0 you can send through a SMTP proxy. When the recipient gets the mail, they will see this:

From: yourproxy@proxyserver.com
To: yourrecipient@wherever.com
Reply-to: you@yahoo.com
Subject: Hello
Date: 11:00:00

When you use the proxy with My Mail 1.0, when the user replies to the email it will be directed to the account you choose, in this case, the Yahoo account. This way, even though the originating place the email came from was the proxy server (for your convenience), the recipient will still know is was you who sent the email.

This is how is will look in the recipient's inbox:

From SubjectDate
bsmith yahoo.comHello

My Mail 1.0 places whatever email account the reply from your recipient is supposed to go to in the 'From' section of the recipient's inbox display. You can always send your mail directly through the site, but with My Mail 1.0 you have the option of using SMTP to send your emails, where the look and feel of the email, as far as the recipient is concerned, is the same as if it is coming from the email account which does not offer SMTP.

The Major Mail Sites Giveth and the Major Mail Sites Taketh Away

As you probably know, from time to time the major web servers will offer premium services to the free email accounts. The bedrock of premium email service means you have POP3/IMAP and SMTP access, which means you can use any email client you want to get your email (like Outlook Express, Thunderbird, Eudora, etc). But there are a couple of twists.

The first one is the free premium services don't last. Yahoo started out with offering free POP3 and SMTP, but they took that away long ago. Then, more recently, Yahoo offered IMAP for the free account users (like you), but they once again stopped offering that.

Another example is Hotmail. For a long time Hotmail did not offer POP3 or SMTP, but a couple years back offered an HTTP protocol, which effectively was the same sort of thing as the POP3/SMTP - a direct link to your own email client. But once again, they repented of offering a premium service for free. So if you are not paying the per account premium, you have to trudge back to the old web site, which if you are like most people, have been treating it as an unfortunate necessity.

Currently, Gmail and AOL offer POP3 and IMAP respectively. However, it is only a matter of time before that changes. If you get comfortable with Gmail POP3 and AOL IMAP, and they decide to pull the plug, you will either be left hung out to dry with no more email coming into your Outlook Express program or you will be motivated enough to get back the convenience you had before and pay the premium.

In any event, having a direct link to your mail means a few important things, good things!
- the mail comes to you
- no web sites to go to
- no ads to look at
- no login hassles
- no long waits
- your mail is stored on your PC
- your mail is backed up at the site
- more control over unwanted email
If this is what you like, and you use the major email sites, My Mail 1.0 is the best solution.

A Different Technology

My Mail 1.0 utilizes a completely different approach to gettting email. As noted, it is much faster than going to the web site, offers all the conveniences of the premium mail services, and most importantly is not dependent on whether or not the mail sites offer POP3/SMTP or, if they are currently offering it, change their mind (as they always do) and take it away.

My Mail 1.0 is just a little bit slower than the conventional Outlook Express model, however, unless the mail site allows POP3/IMAP and SMTP for free, if you want to get the convenience that comes along with those features and you have a free email account, you are out of luck - back to the web site to face the flash ads you go!

The good news is, My Mail 1.0 will always work as long as the mail sites exist. My Mail 1.0 is flexible and when the sites My Mail 1.0 uses zig My Mail 1.0 zigs, and when they zag My Mail 1.0 zags (in other words, the program will be modified to keep up with any changes that develop on the server side). Unless there is a wholesale change in the way the internet is coded in the future, you will get reliable service from My Mail 1.0.

Note: The internet is not a perfect machine, so there can be server side issues.

A New Program

My Mail 1.0 was created to not only speed up the access of receiving and sending emails from the major email sites, but also to get a break from the sites themselves! If you need a break from advertising sensory overload, and just want to check your mail, My Mail 1.0 is exactly what you want.

'1.0' means it is a first release. My Mail 1.0 is somewhat on the no frills side, but it gets the job done. Over time, more features will be added, and you will get free updates for the life of the program.

More Benefits

Once you use My Mail 1.0 even for just a few days you'll never want to receive and send emails from the major email sites the way you have been ever again.

One aspect of My Mail 1.0 you'll definitely enjoy is what it looks like. It feels good to look at, because you can change how it looks! You can choose your own backgrounds (pictures), as well as font colors. It is definitely not like any other email program you have ever used in this regard.

One of the major negatives about the brand name email clients (like Outlook Express) is there are legions of weasels out there who make it a personal mission to come up with ways to exploit it with viruses, and, as a result, harm your computer. If you have been using Outlook Express over time, for example, you already know that after a while something 'happens' to it, and it can get so bad it takes longer to launch than it does going to the AOL email web site - and that is the definition of slow!

Even if the major email sites all offered free premium services (which they don't and/or will not in the near future), if you are using Outlook Express, it is just a matter of time before it breaks down. Conventional email clients are big programs. They install .dll's, .ocx's, .exe's, and lots of other stuff.

But My Mail 1.0 is beautifully small! The current download size is approximately only 475KB. That means it launches fast, and gets right down to business for you. It is a squeaky clean program that requires no .dll's, or other sorts of files (just Excel 2000 or higher, which you probably already have.) My Mail 1.0 is self-contained and completey invulnerable to outside attacks. In terms of never being used as a source of trouble for your computer, My Mail 1.0 is the best email program you can use. There is absolutely no way anything from the outside can get into it, unlike almost every other email program.

A Small Irony

My Mail 1.0 is designed specifically for free email account users at the major mail sites. My Mail 1.0, however, is not free. An amazing program, that does so much, and that will make your life better has a price. But let's face it, you really are not getting that free web mail account for free. As long as you have to fiddle around at the site, and then become hyper-commercialized (commerce is a good thing, but these sites are over the top), or worse, forced to read the day's headlines (blech!), you are paying.

The good news is My Mail 1.0 sells for only $7.00. That's it! With My Mail 1.0 you get the benefits of premium email services for every free email account you have at the five servers My Mail 1.0 is designed to work with.

Is My Mail 1.0 as good as Outlook Express, or Thunderbird, or Eudora? Well, in some respects no (bells and whistles), but in other respects defintely yes. After all, these major email clients - to a free email account user like you - are of no use at all.

$7.00 is not your life savings, so a worst case scenario doesn't even register. But once you start using My Mail 1.0, and get used to it, the odds are good you'll become spoiled very quickly.

For only $7.00 My Mail 1.0 can handle as many accounts as you want. The program is fully supported, will work on any PC that meets these minimum requirements:

  • OS: XP -- not tested on other systems, try the Demo to see if
  • My Mail 1.0 works on your PC.
  • RAM: 96 MB and higher
  • CPU: Pentium II and higher
  • Minimum Screen Resolution: 1024 x 768 viewed at 100% magnification
  • MS Excel 2000 and later

Notes: My Mail 1.0 also requires a clean computer that runs well with no known issues. Some PCs run poorly for many reasons, and a poorly running PC will affect the performance of My Mail 1.0. If you have protect-ware, anti-virus-ware, firewall programs, etc, you may have to set them up to accept My Mail 1.0.

To make sure your computer is set up properly for optimum use and to see if My Mail 1.0 will work on it, please try the demo:
